Plot

Suddenly one day, an earthquake was generated in Los Angeles. Thereafter, some workers died a mysterious death by fire in the basement. So, Mike Roark (Tommy Lee Jones), investigated it in the basement, but at that time an earthquake is generated again and a hot wind attacked him. Mike was saved somehow. However, this is just the beginning of the big city collapse.

I think that the feeling of tension and fear are good. I think this movie is not difficult and is plain. The CG technology is solid and it's very scary. This movie is powerful generally. I thought that the courage of people was splendid. I think that you can enjoy this movie very much..

Bad points

I do not understand Mike’s post well. This movie’s story is a little impossible. This movie’s story is very simple, so some people may be bored by the shallow story. also, the way people die is pitiful.

I think anyone can watch this movie lightheartedly and it's exciting to the last.
