Plot
Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) is a bank
employee. His father gave him a certain creature for Christmas. It was a
creature called “Mogwai”. They named the Mogwai “Gizmo” and they loved it. The Mogwai had rules that must be kept. Firstly, they must not be exposed to light, secondly, they must not take water and
must not get it wet, lastly, they must not be given food at midnight, but Billy breaks the rules one after another. So “Gremlins” are born.
Impression
Good points
This movie does not use CG, but the stuffed toy’s movement is
very good. I think the design of Mogwai and Gremlins is good. I thought that
the scene where Gremlins rushed wildly in was interesting. You can enjoy it more
when you understand the black joke of this movie. This movie is science fiction
movie for adults, but it may be a horror movie for children.
Bad points
This movie may be scary for children because the design of the Gremlins
is little weird there are some slightly shocking scenes in this movie. Also, I think
this movie’s story is not exciting.
Summary
I think that "Gremlins" is a good movie that makes it possible for
different people to enjoy from children to adults.
